The Prime Minister Meeting Chinese investors

Tuesday 6 September 2005, the Prime Minister hosted a business breakfast meeting
with leading Chinese investors accompanied by the Secretary of State for Trade
and Industry Mr. Alan Johnson and Minister for Trade Mr. Ian Pearson. These
Chinese investors included senior representatives from: Huawei Technologies,
Konka, Midea, BOE, China Telecom, Huaqi, Alibaba, Alison Group and Goldtel.
The President of Goldtel Group, Ms. Yanhe Presented the meeting.
At this breakfast meeting, Blair predicted trade and investment between
Britain and China could reach 40 billion dollars in the next five years.
"I said to them that the United Kingdom is open for business," said the
British leader.
